Necklaces

Geometric inspired handmade necklaces and chunky pendants, for wearing alone or layering together

Handmade geometric necklaces by Elin Horgan, Bristol

Every necklace here is designed and made by hand by Elin Horgan in her Bristol studio. Elin Horgan Jewellery makes architectural and geometric necklaces, from fine chains to bolder pendants. The designs draw on architecture and geometry: structure, clean lines, proportion and repetition. Choose something effortlessly simple for everyday wear, or a piece with more presence for the evening.

Geometric pendant necklaces

A pendant is the simplest way to wear a necklace because the shape does most of the work. Angular and faceted pendants catch the light beautifully as you move. Smooth, balanced shapes sit comfortably against the collarbone. Each pendant hangs from a chain chosen to suit its weight, so it hangs properly and stays put.

What necklace length should I choose?

Shorter chains sit at the base of the neck and suit open necklines such as a V neck or scoop neck. Longer chains sit lower and work well over knitwear or a shirt collar. Two or three lengths can be worn layered together, or a plain chain can be paired with a single geometric pendant.

Minimal geometric necklaces for everyday wear

Small geometric necklaces with a minimal design are easy to wear every day and layer well with a variety of other pieces. Clasps are chosen to be secure and easy to fasten on your own.

Statement architectural necklaces

The larger necklaces are built around strong, architectural forms. They are made to be worn on their own, with plain clothing that lets the shape show. They suit occasions when you need one piece to carry the outfit.

How are the necklaces made, and how do I care for them?

Every necklace is handmade in small quantities by Elin Horgan Jewellery, so there are slight variations between pieces. Necklaces are made from recycled Sterling silver or gold vermeil (a thick durable gold plating over a Sterling silver base) Store each necklace separately to keep it dry and prevent scratching and clean it gently with a soft cloth.
