Jewellery making workshops in Bristol

Make your own one-of-a-kind silver jewellery

Fancy turning jewellery designer for the evening and making your own unique handmade silver ring or pendant?

Then join me for a relaxing and creative jewellery making workshop in Bristol, carving a design in wax which will then be cast in silver and finished according to your requirements. This is a beginners level jewellery class and previous experience is not necessary as you'll be guided through the process from start to finish.

What sort of piece will I make at a jewellery class?

The workshops focus on the ancient jewellery making technique of wax carving. With guidance you'll carve your own unique ring or pendant design from wax which will then be cast in recycled silver.

You'll learn about the lost wax casting process and explore techniques for creating effects and textures using simple tools.  You can choose to make a ring (up to 8mm wide) OR a pendant (approx. 15mm x 15mm).

By the end of the 2.5 hour session you will have created a wax master which will be sent away to London’s famous jewellery quarter Hatton Garden for casting in silver. I will then hand finish your piece according to your specifications and post it back to you in a beautiful Fairtrade cotton jewellery pouch within 3-4 weeks.

Pieces larger than these specifications above will incur an extra charge. Should you wish to have your finished piece(s) plated in yellow or rose gold then an extra £30 is payable on the day.
